Artist-in-Residence Weekend

April 13-15th

 

Julie Silver

Julie is a World-renowned Jewish singer/songwriter. Her song ranked up on the Billboard Top 40 and she has a featured CD at Barnes and Noble for Chanukah.   Julie is the composer of our congregation’s favorite songs “Sim Shalom” and “Shir Chadash” among others.

 

 

Schedule of Events:

 

Friday, April 13th

Shabbat Under the Stars • 6:15 pm - Join Julie and all of our religious school students in the Amphitheater in prayer and song to honor our religious school teachers, madrichim (assistants)and Life Long Learning instructors. Pre-neg at at 5:45 in the Foyer, Dinner to follow in the Tenenbaum Center: potato, salad and dessert bars (reservation required*) Call the office to RSVP by April 10.Teachers, Madrichim, and Lifelong Learning volunteers are guests of the Congregation. All others: Adults $10,kids 5 – 12 $6, under 5 Free. A $3 surcharge at the door for those without prior reservations.

 

Saturday, April 14th

Shabbat Morning Service in Song • 10:30 am - Meet Julie in the Sanctuary for this very special tuneful Saturday morning service. Light Kiddush to follow in the Foyer.

 

Break Passover with Julie at Meet, Greet and Eat • 7:00 pm - Passover is over so join us for a pizza dinner and get a chance to meet Julie at the US Pizza party room, 2710 Kavanaugh in Hillcrest. This event is FREE, but space is limited. Please make your reservations early!

 

Havdalah and Coffee House Concert • 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm - Continue the fun and enjoy dessert, coffee/soft drinks and some great music with Julie and friends

 

Sunday, April 15th

A Very Musical Morning • 9:30 am - Julie jams at Religious School
