The four students in the 2011 Confirmation Class agreed to share their speeches with the website readers. When presented last May, those attending the Confirmation Shabbat worship service heard four very different descriptions of the way the students identify Jewishly.

• Gracen Grundfest's personal reflection on the statement "What Makes Me Jewish".
• Ky Stevens Jr.’s personal reflection on the statement, "I Am Jewish".
  
  In class the students read and discussed the book edited by Judea and Ruth Pearl entitled, I Am Jewish: Personal Reflections Inspired by the Last Words of Daniel Pearl.
