Temple B
Mission Statement

Congregation B'nai Israel embraces a lifelong understanding and pursuit of Jewish identity, commitment, and values.

Our congregation strives to instill knowledge of and pride in Jewish heritage including Torah, tefillah and mitzvot, leading to activate participation in Jewish life.

A Message from Jack D. Grundfest, President

It is an honor for me to serve as President of Temple B’nai Israel for a multitude of reasons, the most humbling of which is the great respect that I have for our congregants as well as so many of our prior Temple Presidents, including my deceased father, Dave Grundfest, Jr., and numerous other very special friends. Although we are well steeped in 145 years of Reform Judaism and in the Central Arkansas community, we are also a welcoming, open and caring, Reform Jewish Congregation.

We embrace diversity and exhibit inclusiveness in our actions as well as our words. We have a volunteer based music ritual program that is second to none. Our Lifelong Learning program affords congregants of all ages with myriads of opportunities for creative, dynamic and flexible exploration, education and exposure to Judaism and its teachings. The enthusiasm our professionals is matched by dedicated congregants who constantly give of themselves for the benefit of others. We welcome you to come to our Temple and to learn, worship, sing, celebrate and experience together with us!
